a recreational camp side first and foremost for poor and neglected kids has been set up in the hills adjoining the seashore of kep by alongsiders international. large, green sport fields, a fun obstacle course, a swimming pool and multipurpose meeting hall provide ample opportunities for recreation, relationship and trust building. this current setting was to be extended by a playground for younger kids and a house for retreat and prayer, silence and meditation.

CHAPEL

set a the gruffest and most remote area of the camp, prismatic wall fragments with earth mortar cover resting on the terraced hillside, hold a space of solace firmly while leaving gaps for views to the hills and valley, the wind to cross. three overlapping roof sheets form an aperture through which sun rays penetrate and fall into a central pool that collects the rain. light and water, wind and earth, space and sound turn metaphysical.

Playground

form and space, materials and colours create a multitude of opportunities for the young guests to play and imagine, to run and climb, swing and slide, balance and fail, laugh and learn.
